Education Manager:
Adult Education Program
Full-time position Monday-Thursday
$45,000 annual salary
36 days (288 hours) of Paid Time Off (PTO)
Education Managers are responsible for all components of Trident Literacy’s Case Management Approach to student learning and meeting performance measures required by the state and federal governments and Trident Literacy Association.

Position Summary:
Education Managers are responsible for all components of Trident Literacy’s Case Management Approach to student learning and meeting performance measures required by the state and federal governments and Trident Literacy Association.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete and maintain required training as assigned by the Adult Education Program Director and Executive Director on learning assessment, current policies and procedures, and online platforms used in the program.
Assist with new learner orientation planning and execution.
Manage and coordinate a caseload of learners.
Assess students (pre-testing and post-testing) and develop a learning plan based on results.
Provide 1-on-1 and small group instruction and guidance (small groups of 5 or less).
Ensure the security and privacy of learner information at all times.
Ensure that self and volunteers document all learning sessions in digital activity records immediately.
Manage and coordinate with volunteers who assist in providing 1-on-1 and small group (5 or less) instruction.
Create a positive learning environment.
Guide learners in setting goals for their learning, educational attainment, and careers.
Create study plans in cooperation with learners.
Communicate with and advise learners.
Monitor and document achievement and attendance.
Assist in planning and execution of program events and partnerships, such as but not limited to: annual achievement ceremony (GEDs, Google Career Certificates, IET Programs, U.S. citizenship, and other milestones), annual Founders Day Luncheon, and Giving Tuesday.
Assist in program recruitment and outreach.
Maintain any professional certifications and licenses.
Maintain a positive and constructive atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation between coworkers.
Other duties as assigned by the Adult Education Program Director or Executive Director that pertain to tangible and intangible components of Trident Literacy Association’s holistic Case Management Approach.
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced education degree or SC State Teaching Certifications are a plus.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of Google Workspace and ability to learn Oneflow and other software systems used by our team.
Physical Requirements:
It may require travel for events and training.

Full-Time Salary: $45,000 annually

No lesson planning is required
Adult Education Program Full-Time Schedule:
Monday 9:00 am - 9:00 pm (12 hours)
Tuesday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (8 hours)
Wednesday 9:00 am - 9:00 pm (12 hours)
Thursday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (8 hours)
Part-time salary: $20/hour
Benefits for Part-Time Employees:
Accrue Paid Time Off (PTO) with hours worked
3-day weekends
Additional hours with prior approval
At-will employment with no contract
Cost-free professional development with Director approval (counts toward teaching certification renewal)
Mileage reimbursement for travel that is additional to the usual workday

Adult learner accountability
No lesson planning is required
Adult Education Program Part-Time Morning Shift Schedule:
Monday 9:00 am - 2:00 pm (5 hours)
Tuesday 9:00 am - 2:00 pm (5 hours)
Wednesday 9:00 am - 2:00 pm (5 hours)
Thursday 9:00 am - 2:00 pm (5 hours)
Adult Education Program Part-Time Evening Shift Schedule:
Monday 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm (5 hours)
Wednesday 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm (5 hours)
